Ten Hens Farm is a quaint, family-run farm based in Bath, Michigan. The small business began with what they thought were ten hens. They eventually came to discover they had five hens and five roosters. However, the name stuck and lives on to this day. These days, the farm has shifted away from eggs and focuses on fresh produce.
This logo presented the challenge of having an obvious "hen" in the title, while not wanting to focus too much on that fact, since they no longer have eggs. We decided the a feather was the appropriate way to hint at a hen, while not leading consumers to assume hens were definitely involved. I created a custom feather illustration for this logo.
